VISION
|
The vision of True Friends In Spades is to create a friendly team ladder Where The Fun Begins and Friendship Grows. Where: The Most Important rule is to HAVE FUN. Remember Spades is just a game. We all come to have fun and play with friends. Sportsmanship is a top priority. Remember just because our games are played in a rated room, Ratings and Rankings are not the reason we are gathered here. Everyone should be considered a friend, both newcomers and veterans alike. Repeated troublemakers will be removed and proven cheaters will be permanently banned. The ladder will be run with a captain/team responsibility philosophy, with each and all responsible for the actions of each individual team members. Any actions not conducive to our intended atmosphere will be penalized. A no bidding, no challenging league with all non-luck formats available. Games of a "luck" format such as daredevil, where outcome is decided by first card played, are not allowed for league games. A Sit and play league without regard to rank. True Friends in Spades is a Team Ladder, based in Hardwood Spades. Therefore Hardwood code of conduct (http://www.silvercrk.com/server_rules.htm ) will retain primary jurisdiction in all areas. All Friendly games are played in Rated League Room.

A team must have 3 players plus a FRIEND before it may begin playing.

NEW TEAMS
|
All new teams in TFS are founder approved. Prior to starting a team an interview must be scheduled with the Head Administrator (HA) or CO-ha. Any teams started prior to an interview will be kicked until such time as these guidelines are met.
To The Top |
NEW MEMBERS
|
All new players/teams to True Friends in Spades are subject to a 30 day probationary period. During this time players will be evaluated for their compatibility with the TFS vision, and may be removed for 1 major infraction or 2 minor ones. New players that are currently serving as an Admin on a league that represents a conflict of interest for TFS, shall be subject to removal/ban from membership in TFS.
NOTE: English is the default language for all TFS venues. As such it MUST be used in all official correspondence as well as chat, lobby and table.
To The Top |
SAME HOUSEHOLD MEMBERS:
|
If there is more than one person from the same household, then you must email Admin with the second name so that we know it is not the same person and so that the second account is not removed. When creating your nic, (sh) must be placed at the end of your nic.
Same household members are restricted from Partnering any member of their shared household at any time. They may however oppose each other in ladder and league games. If one household member wishes to "friend" against another member of their household the SH status must be declared and accepted by the team member that they are intending to "friend" for.
Any same household member that receives time in the penalty box could result in the corresponding same household member to receive the same amount of time in the penalty box as the offender receives at admins discretion.
Any players found to be from the same household that are partnering one another in games will automatically receive a 3-day box. Should they continue to partner one another in games thereafter they could be subject to a ban from TFS.
Any same household members that do not email Admin to let us know you are same household players will have both accounts deleted.
Any and all accounts that share email addresses will by default be considered shared households. There will be NO exceptions. Accounts sharing this information that fail to adhere to the (SH) designation can/will be frozen until such time as they meet TFS guidelines.
Multiple Infractions will result in a BAN from TFS.

CREATING NEW NICS
|
Please pick a nic that is family friendly that will meet both TFS and Hardwood family environment code. Your TFS nic has to match your Hardwood nic. It is always better to create your Hardwood nic first and then change it in TFS. If you find that nic is already taken in Hardwood, please get with TFS Admins to assist you.
To The Top |
MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS
|
We only allow a set number of accounts from one location. If this number is exceeded your accounts will be investigated and possibly removed. We have an automated security to keep track of this information and all new account information is logged.
Note: It is illegal for one person to have multiple accounts or be on multiple teams. Only one account is allowed per person.
If New Members are found joining the ladder and determined by Admin that they already have an existing account will automatically be disqualified from tourneys/games. Their accounts will be reviewed by Admin to determine the action taken.
When multiple accounts are found, admin will remove all names that show up as duplicate. If you make a new name be sure to withdraw your previous name before signing up a second time.
To The Top |
ACCOUNT POLICIES
|
Since your Ladder account is where all your records are kept we have some special policies regarding it. These are very important and you should pay close attention to them.
Your E-mail address must be kept current on the site, as it is the only way we have of contacting you.
Use the 'USER EDITOR' if you need to change it. If your E-mail address is found to be invalid your account WILL be removed.
If your Ladder name is offensive to other users or contains profanity your account will be removed.
If your Ladder name is found to be abusive towards another user your account will be removed.
If your Ladder name is found to be too similar to an existing user's nickname you will have to choose another name.
You are only allowed to change your Ladder name once per week, so make sure that your name works on Hardwood before changing it on ladder so that you do not make a mistake. Admin will not make corrections to your ladder name, unless you are a new TFS member.
Your Ladder name must match EXACTLY in both Ladder and Hardwood. This includes underscores and other keyboard characters. If it doesn't the match is invalid and your opponent is NOT required to report any losses to you.
Exception: Lowercase vs. Uppercase letters, the use of SH or CC following the Ladder name, or troubles making nics to match in Hardwood until this can be corrected. (There are times when a members nic may not be exact and when pointed out admin reserves the right to distinguish if this is a reasonable mistake)

MESSAGE FORUM POLICY
|
Posting in Message Forum is a privilege reserved for members in good standing on True Friends in Spades (TFS).
It is intended as a place for announcements, congratulatory statements, questions, jokes, rule changes and constructive criticism.
Posts by individuals not on a team, with the exception of those new members LOOKING for a team in the post, will be pulled.
Exception: One For Fun Spades being a sister league founded on same principles and sharing a desire to uphold the same vision is an exception to this guideline.
Posts that bash individuals or teams by name will be pulled including those that do not specifically name names but do offer so much information that the individual or team in question is readily identifiable.
Failure to go by the rules of the Message Forum will forfeit that individual's right to post messages for 1-day; severely bad post may result in being boxed or banned from TFS.
To The Top |
GAME SETTINGS
|
Default game settings for all TFS games are rated, 500 points, 100 point nil, No blind nil, No time out.
Any and all deviations from these settings, i.e. time out players, reduced score, or hand limits must be included in the lobby ad each and every time it is posted for that game. It is the responsibility of all players to determine settings for any game at which they sit.
Note: Any game in which it is found that the game settings are inconsistent with the lobby ad is automatically a no game.
Alternative games, i.e. whiz; mirrors; suicide, pass 2, are also played with anything goes as long as the game is not luck based , i.e. Daredevil on which winner is decided on 1st card played.
Alternative Games must be advertised for at least 5 hands but 8 is the preferred standard of the league. This ensures that everyone is given a fair chance in whatever format they play.
Alternative games of any variation may be played as long as it is advertised in the lobby and all four players agree to that game format prior to the first card played in the game.
To The Top |
ADVERTISING AND STARTING GAMES
|
Prior to starting the game both teams must declare their team name. Standard text to facilitate copy and pasting for reporting purposes is preferred.
All Games Must Be Advertised! Before you advertise (aka addy) a game be sure your teamie/friend is sitting at the table with you. The game should then be advertised in the lobby. If a game starts without a lobby advertisement, then both teams will be rung to the bottom of the ladder. No Exceptions!
Example: "TFS @ 3 " or "True Friends in Spades @ 3". This is a basic game: Rated, 500 points, Nil 100, No passing, No time out, No blind nil.
Only one game of a format may be advertised at any time. Again this is a fun friendly league, so do not refuse to play a game against another team. This will be considered as rank hounding and goes against the essence of our league.
Starting a new game with the same settings of a game that already has a posted ad, will result in your being asked to move to the first game advertised, or your team being rung to the bottom of the league ladder.
REMATCHES: are allowed. If you want a rematch both teams must agree to the rematch at the first game table, then they MUST reseat and advertise for the rematch as follows:
(team name) is requesting a rematch with (team name) @ 3
Note: Please do not post for game more than once for every 5 or more lines of text in lobby as posting more frequently is not needed and is considered flooding by Hardwood Code of Conduct.
You may not, even generally, request a higher ranked team nor may you include your own team's rank or name in your advertisement.
Challenges are NOT part of this ladder with the exception of teams #1 & #2 as explained under "Rules for Number 1 Team" and Bidding are NOT part of this ladder.
There is no limit on how many times daily you can play the same team.
The Case's rule of only playing same team no more than 3 times a day is null and void in this league.
First Come, First Served: The priority rule for accepting matches only applies when you have multiple advertisements at the same time. First one seated is the team that will receive the Game.
Do not join a game UNTIL the team at the table advertises for a game. If a game starts without a lobby advertisement then both teams will be rung to the bottom of the ladder. No Exceptions!
If Admin find teams camping (waiting for a higher team to ad for games) or avoiding lower ranked teams, they will be rung to bottom of the ladder. No Exceptions!
To The Top |
FRIENDS
|
A Friend player will be added to each team. A Friend player allows players to find a partner when they have no team member available. A Friend is a player that you chose to partner you. They play as a member of your team with the win or loss being credited to the player named (Friend_###).
Anyone may play as a FRIEND provided they are a member in good standing of TFS league. However, the FRIEND does not have to be on a TFS team. The player's status as FRIEND must be declared at start of play. If the partner of a FRIEND does not announce that their partner is a FRIEND and they win the game will be considered a NO GAME. If the partner of a FRIEND does not announce that their partner is a FRIEND at start of the game and they lose they MUST still report the loss. A FRIEND must play the game until its completion, but may leave before the game has been reported. Should a FRIEND leave a game before its completion, a sub may be used and the FRIEND's conduct reported to the FRIEND's captain or Admin, if no Captain.
Teammates are excluded from being a FRIEND in a game that is against their own team, unless it is in a tournament.

BOOTS & SUBS
|
Unfortunately that's the way cyberspace is, sometimes people will boot at the oddest times.
When a player boots, a maximum of 7 minutes will be allowed for the return of the booted player or the seating of a sub. At their option the partner of the booted player may seat a sub at any point in the 7 minute period. Hardwood will automatically boot the sub and seat the original player upon their return.
When reporting a match in which a sub was utilized the original 4 players are to be used for that purpose. Use of the team friend in lieu of the booted player is not allowed. NO EXCEPTIONS
In cases where no sub can be found, the team of the booted player has the option of continuing play with a BOT or reporting a loss to the other team. At the request of the booted player's partner to continue with a BOT, the table host MUST select that option.
To The Top |
LAGS
|
If your partner or opponent is lagging, we ask that you type the word "test" to determine if you are the one causing the lag. Please be considerate, if you are lagging excessively, ask for players to Hold Last Card (HLC) and reboot.
If a player is lagging excessively or is "frozen" Hardwood gives us the option to PING other players. The average PING is in the range from 100 to 200. If a players PING is excessively high 500 or above it is a very good indication of a connection problem. If "frozen" for more than 2 minutes and a high PING coincide the player's partner has the option to vote to "kick" them from game. Do not "kick and ban".
If this option is utilized the rules for a boot come into effect. The 7 min rule would begin at the point the "frozen" player was kicked.
To The Top |
BE RIGHT BACKS OR "Hold Last Card" (HLC)
|
BRB (be right back) or pauses in the middle of a hand should be agreed to by all players, if not then you MUST wait until the end of the hand and ask for HLC until you return; if you can't wait you MUST go on Auto after informing the table. Be courteous, from time to time emergencies do happen and a player must take a be right back (BRB). It takes less time to click auto play than it does to type BRB.
Multiple emergencies or constant problems with those going BRB on NIL hands will result in penalization. Any time this occurs in a game opponents must send in chat to Admin so we can make notes in the BRB players file.
(Note: There will be a 5 minute maximum on all BRBs or HLCs.)
To The Top |
WATCHING TABLES
|
Players may join a table to watch games at anytime. Players should be aware of the following when watching a game:
You are expected to be considerate of the players and keep chat to minimum, in between hands if possible. If a player feels that your chat is disruptive, they should inform the watcher. The watcher MUST honor this request; failure to do so can result in a penalty.
Note: Use of the kick/ban option is prohibited. If a watcher proves to be a disruption call admin to the table and employ the ignore option if needed.
To The Top |
LEAVING THE TABLE WITHOUT FINISHING THE GAME
|
If a player purposely leaves a table in the middle of a game that player will receive the loss for the game along with their partner as well as getting 5 rungs for their team and a possible box for poor sportsmandship.
If the person leaving table is a FRIEND and is on a team, they will be held accountable if they cause the game to end prematurely. They and their team FRIEND will receive the loss. Go ahead and report the loss as normal and email Admin and include the losing team's name/player as well as the FRIEND'S ladder name. Admin will then adjust the losing team's record by removing the loss from both the team and the player and then giving the loss to the FRIEND.
NOTE: The original report must be submitted in order to give the win to the team that actually won the game.
If a FRIEND that is not on a team is the reason that the game ends prematurely, then you/your team and the FRIEND will all be given the loss.
EXCEPTION TO THE RULE: If the atmosphere at a table deteriorates to the point that a team feels it is impossible to continue, then the game must be reported as a loss before team politely leaves the table. Send the game log to captains for resolution.
To The Top |
TABLE TALK
|
You must not participate in Table Talking. (That is discussing your cards with a partner at the table, please keep all specific card based comments to yourself until the hand/game is complete.)
If TT occurs during a game:
State that it was table talk and continue to play out the game and report as if no TT had occurred. At the end of the game, send the full game log to your Captain to resolve with the opps Captain. Include a brief explanation as to what happened in your email and the penalty you wish administered. If the Captains cannot come to terms with the issue then they will submit to admin for review. Admin will decide as to whether or not it was table talk and reverse the game decision should they agree that table talk occurred.
To The Top |
REPORTING A LOSS
|
When the game is over, all 4 players must stay at the table until the report is finished. This allows the reporting person to know who ALL the players were so that there are no misreports made. Please double check the player's names before submitting report.
NOTE: If a player must leave the table for an emergency after the game then they must request permission from their opponents.
Occasionally there are errors in which the message pops up giving the 2-minute warning for no reason. If you get the two-minute wait message, YOU must click on your team link on front of ladder to make sure that the game did not go through BEFORE you click the SUBMIT button again.
If you FAIL to check and a DUPLICATE report is made then the PROPER adjustments will only be MADE to the WINNING team/player RECORDS and not to the team/players who reported the loss twice.
If a game is misreported send the details to your captain/co captain, include all 4 players names, both team names and time and date this happened. Captain should then email admin and the other team captain and let us know so that the corrections can be made.
NOTE: Those found reporting the Team Friend when in fact their partner was a teamie, will be subject to penalties.
DO NOT report a game for someone else under any circumstances, reporting for someone or entering someone's account will make Admin think that you are both the same player.
If you are unable to report due to TFS site being down, the losing team should announce which teamie will be responsible for reporting. That teamie is to write down both team names and all four players and report as soon as possible. It would be advisable for both teams to get a screen shot of the table also, in case there is a dispute.
Note: Teams should never report a loss to a name that is different than the one their opponent used during the match. If you have any doubts call an admin to the table for assistance prior to reporting.
To The Top |
UNREPORTED GAME
|
If the winning team notices the game does not show, write down the names of the losing team and players. Continue with your games. If said game is still not posted when you are done playing for the day, send an email with ALL information to your captain/co-captain.
Your captain can then contact the other team's captain and they can work it out from there. No player should follow another team around to other games causing problems that their game was not reported. You should have checked before leaving the table or followed previous rule.
If the team captain has tried to settle an unreported game complaint between captains/co-captains of both teams, and the game is still not reported after 24 hours, an unreported match complaint should be sent to Admin
Upon receipt of an unreported game complaint, administration will ask for action from the reporting teams' captain. Said captain has 24-hours from date and time of administration's notice to verify and post the game. If the game has still not been reported after the allotted time, administration will post the game and a TEAM WARNING will be issued.
Once a team has received a first warning; all unreported matches not corrected by that team will then result in a BOTTOM of ladder rung and a Team Box!
To The Top |
RULES FOR NUMBER 1 TEAM
|
Every #1 team will be rung to the bottom of the ladder once they have held the position for 24 consecutive hours.
The #1 team or the #2 team are allowed to begin challenging one another upon achieving that Rank.
This game MUST be advertised in the lobby as "team name #1 challenges team name #2 @ table number"
The fun of the ladder is getting to the top not staying there. The journey brings its rewards. If you are a number 1 team and get rung, there is no need to worry, as a good team will always get back there. This is a way of making everything fair and challenging for all. Let's keep the top ranks active and fair. If you are a top ranked team, play all teams not just the ones ranked immediately below or above you.
To The Top |
CHEATING
|
PROVEN CHEATERS WILL BE PERMANENTLY BANNED - NO EXCEPTIONS!
Once again this is a fun and friendly league. Spades is just a game. World peace does not depend on it. Cheating is not acceptable as it lowers the integrity of the game and our league as a whole. We all play for fun not for rank here. That is why:
An accusation without proof is NOT acceptable, and is a boxable offense.
Acceptable proof includes:
A Chat Message that was sent during the game that has been captured in a screen shot.
Cards or instructions typed into the table chat or elsewhere, or similar proof.
A captured video of the game played.
If you have proof someone is cheating, do NOT leave the table. Stop the game in progress and request an administrator to come to the table. Whether one is available or not, take a screen shot of the table, any messenger chat and the entire game log and send to Admin and in the subject line put "cheating followed by the oppositions name and team".
To The Top |
FILING A COMPLAINT
|
Aside from questionable lobby chat, your Team Captain/Co-Captain MUST submit all official complaints. No Exceptions. The reason for this is that in most situations the captain and/or co-captains of the respective teams can resolve the problem first.
All evidence of wrongdoing should be sent to your Team Captain/Co-Captain to resolve the matter. Team Captains have 48-hours to resolve the issue of the complaint before admin considers it an OFFICIAL complaint. A copy of all complaints filed should be sent to the Head Administrator Administration
If the two team Captains/Co Captain are able to resolve the issue please let Admin know by sending us an email.
If the Team Captain is unavailable, and your problem needs immediate attention you may seek out an admin for guidance.
To The Top |
BOXED PLAYERS AND TEAMS
|
A boxed player/team shall not play any games for the time they have been boxed. If the boxed player is a shared household member they will also be boxed for the same amount of time.
A written notification of the box will be sent from administration to the boxed player/team, along with a copy to the Team Captain/Co-Captain.
The letter will state the amount of days of the box and the time said player(s) could resume play. In addition, the player/team will have added to their ladder name the word BOXED. This will be added by the admin team, and removed at the end of the time allotted of the box.
Players/teams that continue to play while boxed even as a FRIEND will either be issued increased time in the box or a BAN from TFS.
Players that are boxed in One For Fun will be considered boxed in TFS.
To The Top |
KICKED WITHOUT BAN
|
Some players depending on reasons may be removed from the ladder without being banned for a set time period which will be enclosed with the removal letter. Players who sign back up before the given date chance being banned.
To The Top |
EXCEPTIONS TO THE RULES
|
There are exceptions to the rules. Without exceptions there would be a need for MORE rules.
To minimize the need to make rule on top of rule, and to allow Administration to act effectively in the best interest of this ladder, it is at your True Friends in Spades Administrators discretion to determine what should or should not be considered an "Exception" to the rules or penalty guidelines.
In other words, if it is not written here or in the penalty guidelines, it does NOT mean it is allowed. It does NOT mean you won't be penalized/boxed/rung/banned just because it isn't written. Something not being written does NOT mean it is allowed

UNACCEPTABLE LOBBY CONDUCT
|
NOTE: Admin has the right to gag IMMEDIATELY for unacceptable lobby conduct.
Harassing/Attacking any TFS member:
* If you feel that you are/have been harassed by or personally attacked by any member of TFS in the lobby, please notify an admin, copy the lobby chat and send it to Admin
* If you feel that you have been harassed by or personally attacked by a non-member in the lobby contact an admin or Hardwood's Guide.
Offensive Behavior: Making fun of someone or devaluing them in some way.
Foul Language: This includes any swear word that is intended to insult, devalue or offend someone. Hardwood does not allow the "F" word or any other foul language -- that includes abbreviating the word, typing one letter, etc. not even as part of a conversation. If you do so it will be an automatic gag plus a 3-day box.
Arguing: Arguing with someone in the lobby, fueling an argument, or responding to individual/individuals that are hostile in the lobby.
To The Top |
LONG DEBATES AND LOBBY DISCUSSION
|
It is against the Hardwood's Code of Conduct (COC) to carry on long discussions in the lobby. When asked to stop these chats you should take this debate/discussion to a table or a private chat, do not argue with Admin or continue. Admin members have the option to use tools provided by Hardwood to quiet any situation they believe is disruptive to the effective use of the lobby for advertising games or preparing for a tournament.
Player Penalty Discussions regarding player penalties do not belong in the lobby. They are to be taken to a table or a private chat and kept out of the lobby.
Sexual, Political and Religious chats are not permitted in the lobby in accordance to the Hardwood's Code of Conduct (COC).
NOTE: Political or Religious chat is permitted in games as long as it is not offending any of the four (4) players in the game. If a player in that game asks that these topics be ceased at the table then their feelings should be respected. If the conversation is continued after a request for it to cease has been made then the player who was offended by the subject matter should send the complete game chat to their team captain.
NOTE: English is the default language for all TFS venues. As such it MUST be used in all official correspondence as well as chat, lobby and table.
NOTE: If you are unsure of Hardwoods Code of Conduct please read it by using this link. http://www.silvercrk.com/server_rules.htm

SPORTSMANSHIP
|
Definition of Sportsmanship: Fair Play, Respect for Opponents, Team members and Gracious Behavior in Winning and Losing. TFS is based on Friendship and Sportsmanship. Our goal is to ensure that this league remains a great place for all to play. We WILL be forced to penalize players if they disrupt the league or break with our ideals for the good of the ladder.
Should you encounter unsportsmanlike conduct at the table, you are encouraged to copy the chat and email it along with an explanation to your team captain. If you should see unsportsmanlike conduct in the lobby and no admin is taking care of it, please copy this and forward through the Contact Admin, link on the left menu of TFS page under heading: (SUPPORT)
Examples of Unsportsmanlike Behavior/Conduct
Please note that the following examples of unsportsmanlike conduct are not the only ways that unsportsmanlike conduct may be displayed, but is merely a guideline. Unsportsmanlike conduct or other conduct described below may result in penalties being imposed on any member engaged in such behavior.
. Recruiting from other teams: To ask, encourage or entice someone to leave their current team & join your team.
To introduce in a clever way imply, insinuate "In a clever way" or accuse someone of cheating without actual saying the word "cheat".
Accusation of Cheating: An accusation is to come out and accuse another player or team of cheating without proof.
Game Avoidance: To intentionally avoid playing against a team that sits with you or that is advertising.
Leaving Table before Game is Finished: Leaving the game before it is officially over and/or leaving the table without reporting the loss.
Sore Losers: Putting down your partner/FRIEND, posting negative comments in game reports, message forum posts, taking comments of game out to the lobby and talking negative about team members/TFS members.
Fighting includes: Fighting with a TFS member in a game/lobby, fighting with a guest in the lobby.
Encouraging Unsportsmanlike conduct includes: Fighting back, fueling a fight or making comments in a game, lobby or message forum that encourage unsportsmanlike behavior.
Foul Language is not to be used in the lobby, tables, chats or message forum. This will be strictly enforced. We have players of all ages and want everyone to feel comfortable in playing here.
Sexual Talk or Chat: Although it is not considered unsportsmanlike behavior, it is against Hardwood's Code of Conduct (COC) and will be enforced.
Bashing: To attack a person or team's character or morals. To say that someone is a crybaby/whiner, or untrustworthy is just an idea of what is considered bashing.
 Offensive Behavior or Language: Self-explanatory.
Bad Comments in Message Forum: The forum is not to be used in any negative manner towards any TFS team or member.
Other ladders are not to be mentioned in our ladder room or message forum period.
NOTE: Retaliation can result in you being penalized as well as the instigator so do not encourage or retaliate against unsportsmanlike behavior. Always remember that two wrongs do not make one right.

INSTRUCTIONAL LETTERS
|
Sometimes Teams and Players will only receive an Instructional email letter related to rule infractions. This usually happens when a player is new to ladders or when there was a misunderstanding of the rules. In some cases, instructional letters act as a buffer before a warning/penalty is issued.
To The Top |
INCOMPATIBILITY RULE
|
Unfortunately, there may be times when an individual or a team proves themselves to be completely incompatible with the goals and objectives of the TFS League. These are individuals or teams who are continually disruptive to the good order and discipline of the league without crossing the line in to unsportsmanlike conduct. These are individuals or teams whose competitive spirit and level of skill is so far above that of the average league member that they are seldom beaten during a match. These are individuals or teams whose continued presence in the True Friends League is disruptive, uncomfortable, and undesirable to the vast majority of league members for whatever reason. They are, unfortunately, just incompatible with the friendly, fair yet competitive spirit of TFS. It is anticipated that cases of 'incompatibility' will be extremely rare within TFS. However, if such cases are identified, the individual or team will be asked to withdraw from TFS. If they refuse to voluntarily withdraw, they will then be banned (individuals) or dissolved (team) without prejudice meaning that they didn't do anything wrong but they are incompatible with our league. This banning or dissolving will only take place after review and approval by all Admins and the HA. At this meeting, the accused team or individual will have the right to present evidence to explain whatever behavior is in question.
To The Top |
CAPTAINS
|
As stated in the vision section The ladder will be run with a captain/team responsibility philosophy, with each and all responsible for the actions of each individual team member.
Any actions not conducive to our intended atmosphere will be penalized. It is the responsibility of each captain to instill and maintain this vision within the team. It is your duty to understand your responsibilities as team Captain
. It is against Cases rules to share passwords. Please make sure all of your teamies are aware of this Rule.
. Recruiting from established TFS teams is not allowed. Captains and Co-Captains found to be recruiting from other teams could result in removal of the Team.
You are responsible for each teammate. Teams/members causing excessive problems could result in a Team Box or worse be removed.
One Player's actions can affect the entire team.
Make sure your team reads, understands, and follow the rules.
You must be mature and civil when handling disputes.
Ensure no teams are intentionally avoided.
You are responsible for updating your team with roster changes.
You are responsible for keeping your team informed about team violations.
Ensure player email addresses are valid.
 Hold regular team meetings.
You MUST try to settle disputes with other teams on your own before bringing them to the Admins.
Encourage your team to be active in TFS communities, polls, forum, voicing their opinions and suggestions for the ladder.
Keeping up with the latest ladder announcements posted in the message forum by the ladder Admins.
It is NOT your job to search for loop holes!
. If a Captain is in a game and their team is having problems at a table, the Captain is allowed to get a Sub.
Players must send all game related problems to their team Captain with a copy to the Head Administrator Administration. It is MANDATORY that Captains try to resolve problems between themselves before submitting any complaints to TFS Administration
Any complaints submitted to TFS Administration must include complete game log, table chat (when possible) and complete chat between the Captains of the two teams involved. Complete chats are always the best when possible, and you must supply details. If you leave out details, please don't expect us to know them.
Any complaints submitted to TFS Administration without following the above steps will be returned.
EXCEPTION: Players may submit cheating with proof and lobby chats of players being disruptive.

Admins are people who volunteer their free online time to try and help make your gaming experience more enjoyable while playing TFS Team Games. If you ever have any questions or need help please ask one of them. Admins names can be found on the home page of TFS.
Admins aren't allowed to handle complaints sent into Support concerning their own team. Admins who are Captains can only handle their team and team problems as a Captain, like any other Team Captain. Admins must follow the same rules as all other members, and if they break rules they will be penalized as anyone else.
You are expected to show all volunteer's respect. After all, they are giving up their free online time to help all of you. Disrespecting of an Admin or other TFS Staff will get players boxed or in severe cases removed from the ladder. This includes all other volunteer groups on TFS.

FOUNDERS
|
Founders are those people who first gathered together with a dream, some spare time, and the desire to create a place for friends to gather. They are also those who through dedication and perseverance have been unanimously invited by the original founders into the group as honorary founders.
Final responsibility for all policies and decisions within True Friends in Spades remains, as always, with this group of founders.
TFS Founders: BIG_D_Sally, XrmplestiltsknX, fastdreamer3, W_PixieOnTheWall and quixiotes_luck
If you ever have a question, concern or a complaint concerning one of the Admins, please send the Admin(s) name and details to Founders

CHANGES TO THE CURRENT RULES
|
True Friends in Spades Administration will try to put all future suggested changes to the rules before the team CAPTAINS/CO-CAPTAINS for their input PRIOR to IMPLEMENTING them.
There may be times that Admin will need to change rules based on current situations or events, without CAPTAINS/CO-CAPTAINS input.
